 charlie's party was a success. these are some pics of our party decor ideas that came to life. we will share more as people share with us. we opted not to have professional photographer because it was an intimate family gathering, so please forgive our amateur pics.

inspiration board for our baptism extravaganza

i guess this would be considered an inspiration board, although since i will be using these actual items* it is more of planning board. in any case, i thought it would be fun to share our thought process here at Karma Flowers as we design an event. this happens to be our son's christening next weekend. check back after the party to see how these thoughts that clutter my brain become a reality.

*the diy cupcake bar picture and idea came from style me pretty, the cake banner which i had custom made is from ReadyGo, the straws were purchased from The Party Fairy, my talented husband has made our chalkboard menu but the inspirational ones pictured here are from Peg and Awl, the cupcake die cuts I purchased from Studio Cee, my husband has also made the wood serving trays we will fill with moss but the one pictured here is from a party done by Poppies and Posies, and the David Stark canvas vases and flowers are from West Elm. FYI- the flowers pictured are ivory coast lilies.

Twice Upon A Time

one of my friends and most fun clients recently celebrated her "Super Sweet Sixteen Fois Deux" (that's times two for those of you, like me, who don't understand French). i thought it was the most incredible way to ring in her 32nd birthday. an otherwise uneventful age suddenly became fun and young and fresh. a gathering of her closest friends in her new apartment and new fabulous Williamsburg, Brooklyn rooftop were the perfect setting. she asked Karma Flowers to the do flowers and we chose vibrant summer stems (sunflowers and dahlias) and complemented them with thistle and dusty miller.  we were able to have some professional pics taken (thanks Joe!) so enjoy. and call us to plan your next sweet sixteen!
